Wet environments require solid traction, and the Keen Targhee II Mid Hiking Boot delivers with aggressive 4mm lugs. The ESS shank receives credit for a big assist here as it provides torsional rigidity for traveling over rock-strewn paths and traversing loose slopes.

Great Hiking Boot
Only had my new boots for one week and broke them in with a seven mile, all different types of terrain, hike. Good support and traction and very comfortable. I previously tried on a different brand that was very comfortable on the feet, however, too high in the ankle and could not walk naturally. As for size, I normally wear around a 7, and from reading previous reviews, I ordered a size 8 and am glad I did. There is enough room for a thick pair of socks (or two pair of thin/medium weight). If you get the correct size, I think you will be very happy with the boot. Happy trails!

great boots
I love these boots because they run wider to fit my feet. I did need to return the first pair and order up 1/2 a size. These are very lightweight and waterproof... and nice looking too.
