When stepping back from the edge and leaving a margin for error, the Kelty Corrie 1 Footprint gives you that little bit of extra protection for your sleeping quarters. Specifically designed to fit the shape of this tent, this coated nylon footprint protects the floor from abrasion, punctures and other ground hazards. The perfect size to prevent pooling of water under the tent during rainy weather, it comes in its own mesh stuff sack. A must have tent accessory.

Fits and works
Although this is a review of the tent footprint, I feel some background info is called for... I purchased the Kelty Corrie 1 last year as a way to lighten my load without sacrificing protection from the elements and bugs. I have used the tent many times and it works great for me. My previous tent was an REI two person tent and weighed in at about 5.5 lbs. The Kelty Corrie runs about 3 lbs. 12 oz. w/o the footprint. The footprint adds about 8 oz. I anticipate using it mostly in 'fast and light' mode--poles, fly, and footprint. All this runs just under 3 lbs. this will be a nearly 2.5 lb. weight savings over my previous tent. Just like all footprints it is sized smaller than the floor of the tent to avoid water pooling under the tent on top of the footprint. The footprint is just large enough to keep my sleeping pad and bag off the bare ground. It works great with just the poles and fly. I anticipate using it extensively.
