Extremely durable and completely waterproof, the Lowa Khumbu GTX Mid Hiking Boot for Men offers cushioning support and optimum underfoot and ankle stabilization for ultra-comfortable carrying of up to 50 pounds. Split leather uppers with Cordura overlays and a Gore-Tex liner provide all-season comfort, breathability, and storm protection for when the unexpected weather comes your way.
Lowa's SPS Supinatition/Pronation Support System is moderately stiff, protecting and supporting your foot over rocky terrain and rough trail, yet cushioned for all-day on-the-trail comfort. A Vibram outsole delivers excellent grip on any type of surface and is durable enough to log big miles, season after season.

Well Made
These are a pleasure to look at. Nice work. They are lighter than my last boots and perhaps stiffer, but they are still breaking in..only a week in service. I am buying another pair to help in keeping the moisture level down on the inside of the boots.. My gear works hard. My only wish is that the soles were just a bit softer, to conform to irregular terrain better than they do now... it may well be that these will...with a bit more mileage.
