Solid and Sturdy, but NOT the HMS!!!
This is a great locking biner - very solid and reassuring, sturdy and strong. It is NOT, however, an HMS type belaying carabiner. Rather it is similar to the Black Diamond mini-pear biner or the Petzl Locker screw-lock. I recently went into a Mammut store in Italy and purchased both the Bionic Mytholito Carabiner and the Bionic HMS (which is what it is called). The HMS is MUCH bigger (as you would expect an HMS to be) and is a proper belaying carabiner. The Bionic Mytholito, however, is a smaller, standard locking biner, good for use in setting up anchors, top-rope stations, abseil points, etc. (but not belaying as an HMS-type biner). Again, for what it is, great biner, solid, sturdy, and just has that Mammut coolness about it!!
