Great Fall Jacket
This is a great jacket. The thing that I can't get over is how water resistant the material is. I find myself getting way too excited telling people about it that I pour water (or beer depending what I have in my hand) only to have it completely bead up and literally roll off to the ground. Its like that scene in terminator. Its amazing, and yet it is still very stretchable. The cut of the jacket fits my body type great. 6'1" 160 lbs. The arms are long enough to not pull up when I reach out. The wind doesn't even have a chance, but I would suggest having some good under layers if you were to have cold temps. I wear this jacket everyday. Rain or shine, warm or cold. Gold Star for this one Marmot.
Sporty and Roomy
Nice all around jacket. Good with layers or not...
Light, but comfortable and convenient
I have a North Face Summit Series jacket that is similar in terms of thickness and warmth, but for whatever reason, this one compares favorably because it feels a little more comfortable and the fit is better. (It almost seems like I can feel a few rough seams on the inside of the NorthFace.) It's a good looking jacket, but in person it presents more like a single color jacket as opposed to the two-color design that I expected from the picture. That's more of an observation than anything else, in general it looks good. I think it's a great jacket for what it is, a light jacket that can withstand the elements in the 40-60 degree range. Great for fall to early winter runs.
