Perfect for Spring Skiing
My wife and I took our daughter skiing for the first time last night. It was in the low 40's and light rain. I was never wet or cold. Also, I've used this coat snowshoeing several times this winter, even in below zero wind chill, I was never cold. I don't think this would be warm enough if I wasn't doing a cardio workout in the cold winter months. This is my new favorite jacket.

Favorite Jacket for Pacific North West
This jacket is amazing. It is close to water proof, only missing taped seams. It is light and flexible, yet keeps you warm in cold conditions. For the Pacific North West, the tuck away hood is the best benifit. I couldn't find another softshell with a zip off stow away hood!

Monster Collar
Overall a good softshell.. 3 stars coz the collar sucks. Problem is that the collar is huge and thick for a softshell. even if the rainhood is off there is a gaping hole between your neck and the collar.. you literally can duck into it. i have the NF Sentinal and i feel thats a better jacket only coz of the collar... not a fan of the Underarm venting either, pitzips would have been better
