Dry feet
After the first day I wore these shoes the tops of my feet hurt, but I really didn't break them in at all before wearing them, but after a couple days they fit great...my feet have not even been damp or moist yet and I work in a greenhouse, cant wait to walk in through snow and have dry feet

Good all purpose shoe
These shoes run about a half size short. I normally wear size 10, but I ordered a 10 and a half. The width seems to be normal. The insole is very supportive. The shoes are very comfortable and light weight. I wear them mainly on the weekends for errand running or trail walking/light hiking. I would definitely buy another pair.

Weird fit
For some reason, the shoes put some extra strain on my arch. On one shoe, I had to remove the insole to relieve the discomfort. I've owned other Merrells and not had this problem. Besides that, the shoes worked great (waterproof, stability, etc). I'm hoping that with some extra breaking-in, the discomfort will go away.
