With removable hip belt, frame sheet and lid, the pack can be compressed to the body for small loads. Compression straps tuck away for a clean look and superdurable HardWear tarp slides over rocks and sharp edges.

Solid, tough, versitile backback
This backback has a great feel even when loaded to the hilt. Tough exterior is excellent for climbing in and around rocks. Tradeoff is that it is a bit heavier than some - but all in all an excellent and versitile pack.

Tough, simple and nice looking
I just used this pack to climb Pico de Orizaba, I used in the assault form (without the frame and lid), very useful and practical. Strong enough to deal with crampons and ice axes, capacity is more than enough for a 3 days adventure. Is a straight forward climbing/mountain pack, not a summer/railroad/europe pack so don't expect fancy stuff.
