An essential piece of gear for cold weather backcountry expeditions, the Mountain Hardwear Sub Zero Parka for women is insulated with 650-fill goose down toasty warmth. Lightweight, packable and wind resistant, this Polyester Z-Rip shell provides a host of additional shelter warmth with it's detachable down hood, non-chaffing micro-chamois lined collar and chin guard comfort. Drawcords close in body heat at the hood, hem and back, while articulated sleeves allow for a critical move when it's really needed.
Great Coat
A comfortable, very light, very warm coat. The hood is the best I've had and the chin warmer is excellent. I haven't had a chance to wear it on one of our sub-zero upstate NY days but am sure it will be warm. The coat does run large and there's a logo on the chest that doesn't appear in the picture.
Great jacket for an incredible price!
Great jacket. I bought it for myself, but it does run a size larger so I gave it to my daughter in Alaska who loves it!! Loves the length and great coverage provided by the hood. She is able to comfortably layer with the jacket. Now to find one in my size.
Price is right, definitely runs big
As most of the other reviewers said, this jacket definitely runs big. I'm almost always a solid Medium so I bought the Medium thinking that it would work out perfectly for layering underneath for mountaineering. Had to return it and get a Small though, which is perfect even with all of the layers underneath (long underwear, fleece, and shell). Got the Lemongrass color and LOVE it. Though it doesn't have the waterproofing like the Sub Zero Jacket, the price on this Parka is much more affordable! Would definitely recommend.
