My First Softshell
The MH Synchro exceeded my expectations. Previously, I owned a wind bloc fleece -- great for the wind but a little less to keep you dry when it snows/rain. For winter hiking with only a light weight base layer, the Synchro does quite well down to the low teens, after that an additional insulating layer works quite well for those single digit hikes. It breathes quite well when working up a sweat. A great deal and even better when the jacket is on sale.

Flattering shape
Looks like many other sporty jackets but has a nice flattering shape on. I'm 5'7" and 125 lbs and fit the small with room for light layers underneath. Nice and long in the sleeves but not too long for me. I'm slim and my frame usually requires a medium to fit the shoulders and long enough sleeves. However, the shoulders in the small worked for me. This is my first MH jacket so I don't know if this is standard sizing for MH. I own a MH butter zippity t-neck and wear the medium in that.
