Keeping your head warm and protected is an attached bomber style lined hood that easily rolls away when you don't need it. Constrast stitching adds a bit of flair to this tough Mountain Hardwear jacket. The Tuf Gene Jacket was made for cargo room, with two front zip hand pockets, two front patch pockets, and two snap closure front utility pockets. There's even a MP3 player earpiece exit on the left chest pocket for when you want to bring some music along with you. Great jacket
Fit just as it described. Super warm and comfortable and a lot of pockets where needed. Great fabric and lots of nice details. I've received quite a few compliments on the jacket.

best jacket in years
I admit, I'm a jacket/coat junky. i love them. This Tuf Gene won me over the first time i tried it on and it was a size too small. I liked it so much I tried to convince myself that I fit in the smaller size. Thank goodness I waited for the right size (which I ordered through Altrec...and was $70 cheaper than REI). Everything about this jacket is perfect, even to the way the hood fits (not too big where I can't see, and not to small that it falls off when i turn my head). Warm, durable, and oh so cute.
