super strong and reliable
I first assembled a quik-n-easy rack for a Toyota wagon back in 85. I got a second set(total 8 uprights) when I bought a fullsized Chevy van in 87. Still using the full assembly on yet another fullsized Chevy van. Total of 4 crossmembers and 2 fore-to-aft members made of salt treated 2x4s. I use this rack to haul building materials, ladders, windsurfing gear and sometimes as a platform base when working overhead(I'm a carpenter). I've carried tremendous loads on the assembly and never had a failure. Much stronger and way cheaper than most factory systems. I was very pleased to find replacement parts still available! Putting a rack together for our Volvo wagon right now.
