Asian Fit Rocks!
I have to disagree with the negative review given by the previous poster. I find the Asian fit design to make a HUGE difference in terms of comfort and overall fit. Unlike the standard Flaks which would curve so much in front of my face that the nosepads would sometimes lift up, the Asian fit has a flatter front and allows the nosepads to press down nicely. The flatter front also keeps the bottom of the frame from hitting my cheeks and puts the lenses at just the right distance so my eyelashes don't hit. The Asian fit is also wider, relieving the pressure that the temples would normally put on the sides of my head. It may not be for all Asians (or Europeans). Just because you're Asian don't expect these Oakleys to work just because of the name. We all each still have different facial features, and this style simply may not suit you. As for me, I'm sold. Great job Oakley! Please come out with more sunglasses in the Asian fit!
Don't believe the
So, first off, let me say that I am an Asian female and have been looking for sunglasses that I could run in and do sport activities without them resting on my cheeks or sliding down my nose. Needless to say, I was thrilled when I discovered these and had such high hopes. I went to the Oakley store and tried on the "regular" fit Flaks and they fit preety well especially with the larger nosepieces, so I thought the "Asian" fit would be even better--not really. They almost sit too high and feels strange around my ears (maybe it's because they don't wrap around the ears? Not sure.) They also slide down when I'm sweating during a run and I thought I read somewhere that they're not supposed to do that--in fact, I think they're supposed to grip even better. I do have to say that the Oakley lenses are pretty good and these weren't even polarized. Anyway, I'm not satisfied with them, so I will be returning them to try other Oakleys that are "regular" fit with the interchangeable larger nosepieces. I don't think the "Asian" fit makes a difference. It's the interchangeable larger nosepieces that Asians should look for in sports glasses if they don't want the glasses resting on their cheeks.
