These days a lot of outdoor jackets with built-in MP3 compatibility seem to revolve around the ski and snowboard industry. That's fine if you like wearing heavy jackets in the lowlands. The Outdoor Research Logic Jacket lightens the load on your shoulders with a highly breathable and water-resistant soft shell design that weighs just a little over a pound. In the left napoleon pocket you'll find the space you need for your MP3 player or iPod. Stitch-free hems and cuffs help lighten the overall design without compromising the durability. Drawcords along the collar and lower hem on the Logic Jacket allow you to cinch down the fit, minimizing cool air penetration. All pockets are laser-cut and feature mesh linings to accentuate airflow. The Outdoor Research Logic Jacket is a tune-ready soft shell that doesn't look like a ski jacket--although you could probably wear the Logic Jacket on a July morning up on the Mount Hood glacier (just don't fall down too much on the ungroomed hardpack). It's still not as light as your 60MB video iPod, but it's logical to assume that Outdoor Research is working on it.
Great product - reviews were wrong about size
Reviews indicated this "athletic fit" required consideration and possible upsizing to get it right. The upsize is TOO big. Sorry to have to return it, the quality and weight were exactly what I was looking for
great for x-country to 10 degress F.
fits like a glove without restricting; zipper initially touchy but finally has clicked; pockets convenient; wrist openings a little on the snug side; I like it!
athletic fit, great preformance
Definitely an athletic fit. I am a medium, but ordered a large in this and it fit perfectly. Performance is great, stops a good amount of wind, and light rain will bead off of the jacket. Very comfortable as well.
