The open, highly breathable knit and feathery weight of Capilene 2 affords unhindered airflow, excellent wicking for endurance activities in warm to moderate temperatures--it's also our fastest-drying Capilene. Because of its low-bulk design and streamlined fit, Capilene 2 also acts an excellent layering piece beneath Capilene 3 or 4 during colder weather. The curvilinear construction provides an updated, fast-forward fit, with seams that won't chafe under a pack or climbing sling. Made of quick-wicking, fast-drying 54% post-consumer recycled (and 100% recyclable) Capilene 2 polyester, with Gladiodor natural odor control. Made in USA. Common Threads Recycling ProgramResearch shows that the environmental impact of recycling worn-out Capilene base layers into new polyester fiber is significantly lower than making that same fiber from virgin materials. Recommend
Nice material which both effectively cools and adds warmth. Some elasticity in fabric allows a tighter fit which I prefer. The fabric is lighter weight than most mid weight base layers. No pilling after multiple washes. No seams on top of shoulders. Fabric tab at top of zipper which keeps it from irritating neck is a nice touch.

Awesome shirt
I've worn this shirt everywhere from the office, to bike rides, to the beach, to the mountains. It never gets too hot, never gets too cold, and fits great as an overlayer, underlayer, or on its own. A great shirt from Patagonia.

Outstanding Product
I spend a lot of time running trails and the Patagonia Capilene series of shirts are the best I've found. They do an excellent job of managing moisture, and the zip neck really helps to regulate the temperature. I'm 6'2" and 185lbs, and the large fits perfectly; not too tight nor baggy, and the length is spot on.
