Common Threads Recycling ProgramResearch shows that the environmental impact of recycling worn-out Capilene base layers into new polyester fiber is significantly lower than making that same fiber from virgin materials. Second Skin
Comfort, fit, and fabric quality are all superb. The waistband is sturdy yet comfortable. Similar to the Patagonia wool bottoms, you quickly forget that you are wearing the capilene 4s. I can wear these bottoms with any pant shell and even jeans without any fit issues. Highly recommended.

The best I have bought
I bought these to go on a photo shoot in Romania, and I would have to say this is the warmest layer I have ever bought. I tend to do a lot of standing around waiting- and I was never cold, and actually sometimes I got too hot and had to remove a layer! I highly recommend these to anyone going out in the cold or hates the cold!

these are for glacier climbing in the canadian rockies. Fantastic product. Warm , durable, easy to dry. Love them
