Great Layer
Just got back from skiing in Tahoe, Spring conditions in January. Warm, even with out a shell in 20 mph gusts, breaths great, and the deep zip vents well. Only complaint is slightly scratchy fabric - the polartec is not as soft as typical capilene.

Great sweater
It's functional, versatile, warm, breathable, lightweight, elegant... you get the picture. Aside from the newly designed angled zip, it's a fantastic piece--so comfortable you'll even wear it to bed. R1 Flash Pullover - The perfect mid-layer piece.
Trim fitting waffle design for warmth and wicking, but with enough room to layer over a Patagonia capilene 2 crew T-shirt for example, and then go over the whole thing with your favorite outer layer depending on temperature. The black color is a must have for this piece.
