A technical, versatile hooded pullover (now made with earth-friendly recycled polyester content) for backcountry and vertical endeavors, back by popular demand.
Call in sick, then take this hoody for a test run. It?s back, after much clamoring from our most active customers and ambassadors alike. Technical, warm, breathable and mobile, it has every key feature that avid climbers and backcountry skiers need ? from the highly refined, stretchy and now earth-friendly R1 fabric (made with recycled polyester), to the snug-fitting balaclava-style hood and sleeve-holding, snow-blocking thumb loops. Raglan sleeves stay clear of pack straps for shoulder comfort, and the external placement of the stretch-mesh, welded-in chest pocket (with a welded-in zipper) allows next-to-skin comfort. With low-grid stretch polyester under the arms, at the wrist cuffs and around the long bottom hem for minimal bulk under a harness. 100% recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program. The slim fit leaves room for a light baselayer.
- R1?: 6.5-oz 98% polyester (60% recycled), 2% spandex (Polartec? Power Dry?), treated with a wicking finish. Stretch panels: 5.3-oz 98% polyester (50% recycled), 2% spandex. 100% recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program
- Newly redesigned R1 fabric (made with recycled polyester content) provides excellent stretch, warmth, moisture management and breathability in a variety of temperatures, whether worn as lightweight insulation or a thermal baselayer
- Lightweight yarns wick moisture away from skin; outer, high-surface-area microfiber yarns speed evaporation; Fabric?s interior grid structure enhances compressibility and allows greater airflow
- Jersey microfiber face for low-friction, non-binding layering; Balaclava-style hood, with elastic-bound opening, fits snug
- Center-front zipper is offset at top (in opposite direction of our technical shells) for smooth layering and next-to-chin comfort, and opens extra deep for enhanced ventilation; Raglan sleeves allow shoulder comfort under pack straps

A solid piece of gear
After spending 26 days on McKinley with a two week storm keeping us pinned down at 14,000 ft, I cannot think of life without my hoody. It is comfortable enough to wear as a base layer or on top of it. The thumb holes and intigrated hood are functional additions that really work. The best part is the fit, the extended cut in the back is perfect for keeping the heat in and the cold out during any type of movement. This is a must have piece of equipment to have.

Highly Recomend
I purchased this layer after a recommendation from a friend and boy I was not disappointed. It works great when layering and under a shell. The thumb pockets are a great feature and I love the fit.

Climber's Best Friend
This is the best piece of technical clothing I have owned so far. It fits me perfectly, its length is longer so it tucks in without wind of spindrift into your backside. I used it as a base or mid layer. It's worth every penny.
