A versatile and highly breathable cold-weather baselayer (now made with earth-friendly recycled polyester content) that doubles as wear-alone loose tights for high-output activities.
Whether worn as a stand-alone loose tight or a cold-weather baselayer, R1 Pants yield simple but important qualities: excellent stretch, high compressibility, surprising warmth and, now, a more earth-friendly fabric (we?ve switched to 60%-recycled polyester). The clean, formfitting cut and smooth jersey face make for frictionless layering. Zippered pocket on the rear. 100% recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program.

light weight and warm
I was hoping these pants were going to be the outer ware pants i had made from the same material, but alas they weren't and I'm glad I bought them anyway. They are warm and supply great and not bulky insulation under my dry suit

Stay warm and dry at the same time!
Patagonia makes the world's best base layers and the Men's R1 Pants are the warmest in their lineup while keeping the Patagonia reputation for breathability. Add in the stretchability and you have the best of all world's when temperatures turn really cold.
