These climbing pants have the fortitude to stand up to grating chimneys and stubborn brush without looking the part. Made from a tough, quick-drying nylon (75 recycled) canvas with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish, they feel like soft cotton but shed moisture and resist abrasion. The gusseted crotch and articulated knees allow complete mobility; offset side seams reduce chafing under a harness. Jeans-style pocketing (with one patch and one zippered back pocket). Inseam (size 32) is 32. Recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program.
Great Pants
These pants are great. The description here on Altrec about them being nylon, but feeling like cotton is surprisingly accurate. They do feel synthetic, but they are thicker than most nylons and you don't get that nylon "swosh" sound from the material. The thickness makes them feel like they should hold up well out doors (have not taken them there). The fit is great if you are a more athletic cut. I ordered the 34 and usually wear a 34. Inseam is a bit long and the reinforced stitching on the cuffs will make it slightly more difficult to hem yourself. The cut is flattering, but still roomy (and I have large legs). The gusset ensures plenty of mobility. All in a all a great pair of pants. I wouldn't wear them with anything more than dressy casual, but I got them for everyday wear and mainly as a non-business do-it-all travel piece. They work great for that.
awesome
i love these pants. I wear them to work in an office, outdoors hiking, walking the dog, and out on the town.
