The Pelican Nemo 2000 is o-ring sealed with a twist-on shroud and comes with a polarity battery guard tray that safeguards against dangerous "outgassing" of hydrogen from an accidentally reversed cell. It is powered by 3 C alkaline cells for 33 Lumens and longevity. Batteries not included. In the water? No problem, the Nemo is submersible to 500 feet which also makes a great dive light. An ABS resin body is resistant to chemicals, corrosion, and extreme temperatures. This flashlight will stand up to anything. Unlike ordinary flashlights that produce a yellow beam, the Nemo 2000's incredibly bright Xenon beam produces an extra powerful collimated white beam.
