Great insulating Layer!
I love the cut and fit of this sweater, I'm 5'6" and 145 and a medium is perfect. the fleece lining keeps the rougher wool off your skin, and the neck zips up right under your chin, very warm. The sweater does nothing to block wind, but is perfect as a mid layer. I use it over my base layer and under my soft shell on very cold days. There are no pit zips or other heat regulating features so its very warm. Keep in mind that it is dry clean only, I haven't tried to wash mine yet. After a month of constant use on and off trail mine does not have a smell, nor has it stretched out of shape. I recently sprayed it with febreeze to kill what ever smell I might not have noticed. I love the military style, but the zippers are all metal and jingle. Almost sounds like bells.
