Narrower than Rossignol's S-series twin-tip ski models with higher numbers, the S3 Koopman is a versatile, all-mountain jibbing platform for aggressive riders. The lightweight profile is ideal for advancing intermediates through experts who want a well-rounded twin-tip that's equally at home in powder or on hardpack. The S3 Koopman features Rossignol's new Amptek technology. Amptek is a camber shape on the S3 Koopman ski that uses a reverse camber at the tip and tail, but keeps the traditional camber in the area beneath the binding. What this means is that the elevated S3 Koopman tip shape gives you great floatation, excellent pop, enhanced landing potential and buttery turns, but the area beneath your feet stays rock-solid for increased edge pressure on hardpack, better edge grip, improved control for fast turn transitions--and you do all of it with less effort. At both ends of the S3 Koopman are Rossignol's proven Visco rubber rebound tips. These flexing tips work with Rossignol's J.A.S. (Jib Absorption System) to reinforce the entire ski with rubber layers between the sidewall and edge for damage control and shock absorption. The extra rebound and protection give you the freedom to play hard without worrying about inflicting damaging abuse. If you're looking for a binding pairing with this fun jibbing ski, Rossignol recommends their Freeski2 120 Ti XL and Freeski2 100 XL bindings.
