Ideal for camping in a tent or out under the stars, the 20F-rated Blaze Sleeping Bag from The North Face offers exceptional comfort and practical features for every casual outdoor enthusiast. Unlike some sleeping bags that force you to pay for features you'll never use, the Blaze gives you exactly what you need--including an affordable price tag. The Blaze features a synthetic (and fast-drying) Climashield HL synthetic fill with an overlapping shingle construction that traps air far better than those cheap knock-offs you find on clearance at the discount sporting good stores. The zippered hood can be left open for additional ventilation or you can cinch things up with the one-hand pull cords. Keep in mind that the Blaze has silky taffeta nylon along the shell and the lining, so it's great for cabin and tent camping--not sleeping outside in slightly damp conditions (although the synthetic Climashield HL will certainly retain some of its insulating properties if wet).
Awesome!
Love this sleeping bag! You stay plenty warm, and if you get too hot you can open up just at the bottom so your feet can cool off. Also, the pouch around your hips is perfect if your hands are cold.
North Face
I love the sleeping bag very much. It keeps me warm and it's best feature is the zipper that does not snag or open as you sleep and the full length draft tube along the inside. I also have plenty of room to squirm in the bag without feeling I am being smooched like a sausage! The only thing I hate is the material of brushed tricot (for the foot box inside the bag...uggg! It snags with my toe nails, so I have to wear socks. I also love the ability to be able to open the bottom of the bag for my feet (which is separate from the other zipper on the side) VERY CLEVER and useful. For the price and all the goodies you get with this bag, worth the value and great use you will get from it! My opinion a "FIVE STAR BAG"
Great mid priced bag
This is the second similar bag we have purchased made by North Face. The other one was purchased three years ago and we have been very happy with it. My son and I plan on using them for a backpacking trip to Philmont this summer. Improvements on this bag is the zipper in the foot and head. I would recommend to anyone and for youth in BSA because of the price and durablity. If you purchase a stuff sack with pull straps, you can pack it even smaller then with the bag is comes with it.
