Versatile with nice quality
Very nice every day jacket, blocks wind and sheds light moisture without being too warm or too technical. If you're familiar with Polartec Powershield, then the Apex Climate block is very similar with one big advantage...it doesn't wrinkle nearly as bad when stuffed into a suitcase or pack. It may be slightly less breathable than Polartec but I haven't found that to be a problem. Overall fit and finish are very good, smooth zippers and straight/tight seams. The only con I can think of is that the hood lacks adjustment, meaning that you can't tighten it around your head for warmth. This is odd considering that there are Velcro cuff cinches and a waist drawstring. Even so, this is part of the simple design that makes it a pleasure to use everyday. Oh, and...it looks great on you as well.
