Stronger fabric than the running pant
These pants have a stronger more rugged fabric than the North Face Running Pant, and they're also just a tad bit warmer. They are also a bit water repellent. The texture of the fabric does make a little more friction when you move, especially around the knee. But when it's a little colder or you're on the ground for exercise, you can appreciate the stronger fabric.

Awesome pants!
I love these pants so much both for just a walk with the dog or working out in the Apex Aerobic Stretch! So light and so comfy!
