For those who want to feel pampered by their camping gear, the redesigned Thermarest BaseCamp Regular sleeping pad is the answer. Two inches (a quarter inch thicker than the previous version) of comfy open cell foam provide insulation and comfortable separation from river rocks, cold dirt, or a hard floor. The self-inflating Thermarest BaseCamp Regular sleeping pad is five inches shorter and narrower than the BaseCamp Large sleeping pad, a good option for smaller framed campers, those who rarely toss and turn in their sleep, or those who would like to save a few dollars instead of experiencing the expanded size of the large model. Additionally, some backpacking enthusiasts choose to carry the Thermarest BaseCamp Regular sleeping pad into the backcountry, figuring the extra weight is a worthy trade-off for a good night's sleep.
great pad for side sleepers
I have the Regular Size. I am a side sleeper and the women's prolite pad just wasn't cutting it. I used this one for a 3 night camping trip in September and it worked out great. The 2 inches was just enough that I didn't feel like my hips were digging into the ground. I'm very pleased.
Great pad for a great nights sleep.
I love this pad! It is very comfortable. It is like night and day using this pad versus not using one. And when the ground is cold, it really insulates you from the cold. I highly recommend this pad!
Works as advertised.
This pad worked great. I was concerned about a stiff back, but no more. I adjusted it for my comfort and it worked great on some very hard ground.
