Product Description:
Atomic Crimson Skis w/Neox 4.12 Binding by Atomic

Few statements raise suspicion among ski expert skeptics better than 'it's an all-mountain ski that's also light, flexible and durable.' While other ski companies simply slap a couple of layers of titanium on a wood core, choose a one-size-fits-most sidecut and call it a premium all-mountain ski, Atomic's Crimson rips both conformity and convention. As the top-end model in the Atomic Nomad line, the Crimson features ten distinct soft flex zones called TFC sectors--six in front of the binding and four behind. The TFC sectors give the Crimson extra flex while special nano reinforcement power channels add essential torsional rigidity for enhanced control on varied snow conditions. Previously applied in the space and auto industries, nano technology aligns individual atoms and molecules into ultra-thin coatings that create a surface 50 times harder and lighter than steel. The result is a dynamic and highly stable all-mountain ski that offers exceptional edge grip. This Crimson is paired with the flexing Atomic Neox 412 binding. Unlike some traditional binding designs that create flat spots and suck the lively flex out of the midsection of many performance skis, the Neon 412 binding has a flex-enabling design that minimizes the ski coverage and maximizes the fluid motion. Atomic's Full Flex technology is a free gliding system that connects the heel piece to the toe piece with a durable and flexible steel band. The design keeps the ski beneath the Neox 412 from stiffening so the flex is always predictable and potentially more stable with better steering (those last two traits also depend on your specific ski selection). If the boot toe somehow turns off center when your ski flexes through lateral impact, the heel piece of the Neox 412 won't push your boot into the toe piece with the same force as traditional bindings, so you're less likely to encounter an unwanted release, and you enjoy a consistent and elastic connection with the snow on varied terrain, especially at higher speeds.
