This season K2 brought back the heritage and tradition, but the only thing that remains of the predecessor are the graphics. The new K2Extreme sports a twin-tip profile and amazing torsional strength to withstand botched landings and other intentional abuse. K2 used a vertical urethane/ABS hybrid sidewall design that reinforces the structural integrity without dragging down the easy swing weight in the fir wood core. K2 recommends this twin-tip for skiers who tend to ride 60% groomed/40% untracked, but you can split the difference and still come away with a stable twin-tip that takes you down all sides of the mountain with confidence and stability.
