Product Description:
K2 Women's Tough Luv Ski w/ M1 11.0 Ti Bindings by K2

Refined this season with an extensive size selection to fit more skiers, the versatile and performance-oriented as K2 Tough Luv Ski with M1 11.0 Ti Binding is an ideal choice for advanced and expert female skiers who tend to spend more time in natural winter settings instead of the groomed corduroy highways. If you're into making fresh tracks and then lingering on the packed stuff in the afternoon, the Tough Luv is the right choice for that morning blend of 70% groomed/30% untracked terrain. It's also an easier-turning alternative to women's powder-oriented, all-mountain skis. The Tough Luv features a fast and agile metal laminate construction that's lightweight and lively in rolling bumps and broken crud. If you're wondering about the mix of fir and spruce in the core, that's the key element in K2's female-specific BioFlex design. K2 created a stable and forgiving profile by using spruce at the tip and tail and fir beneath the binding area. Using spruce at the ends helps with turn initiation and enhances the lightweight characteristics that are essential in keeping a female-specific ski more responsive than a heavier unisex ski design. K2 also tunes their BioFlex cores to appropriate performance levels, so while the expert-oriented Tough Luv and the beginner-friendly First Luv skis both share BioFlex designs, the Tough Luv has a very distinct flex and performance. Because the Tough Luv was made for speed, there's a vibration dampening Mod Monic to minimize chatter and improve contact with the snow, so you're more apt to initiate turns exactly where you want to. Coupled with K2's Mod Technology, the Tough Luv is amazingly smooth and easy to control, despite being an advanced ski. Mod Technology is a secondary elastomeric core that's independent of the wood core that dampens vibrations without taking anything away from the overall ski flex. That's why K2 compares Mod Technology to shock absorbers in an off-road car--Mod Technology keeps the Tough Luv lively without the same unforgiving qualities that sometimes deter new expert skiers from becoming 'experienced' expert skiers. Like previous seasons, K2 continues to donate a portion of their proceeds from all K2 women's products to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation--so you have another reason to feel good about skiing on new K2 skis this season.
