If your family and friends tend to tote extra gear, the Green River has the additional space that you need to keep it all covered and out of the rain--we're talking about a little over half the living space you'll find beyond the noiseless zipper pulls leading inside the tent. The layout inside the tent is squared off with Kelty's ArcEdge floor and taped seams. The mesh ceiling panels offer excellent ventilation, but not to the same degree as the Gunnison and Trail Dome tents, although the extra fabric coverage still doesn't make the Green River 4 a four season tent, it is probably better suited for the more extreme sides of three season camping. Internal side pockets give occupants plenty of places to stow small essentials while keeping the main floor area clear of everything except sleeping bags. Keep in mind that the Green River 4 only has a single (but very large) door. This is a critical consideration for campers who need access to the outdoors in the middle of the night and early morning anglers who don't want to disturb sleeping companions.
