This hipbelt features Osprey's exclusive ErgoPull technology. The ErgoPull design places tension along the top and bottom of the belt, not through the center, so it evenly distributes gentle pressure over the entire belt. An interchangeable die-cut shoulder harness, available in a few sizes (but usually appropriately matched for the user at the factory), does its share to evenly distribute the load. When not in use the hipbelt and harness fold behind a protective cover. For transport at the train station, airport, or bus terminal, the Osprey Waypoint 60 backpack offers a shoulder strap for over-the-shoulder carries, a suitcase style side carry handle for quick lifts into taxi trunks, and a detachable daypack for short missions of discovery once you've established a base camp.
