The Spyder Invader offers a removable heavy weather hood and extra tough stretch twill backed with a waterproof and breathable Dermizax EV 20,000-mm. membrane and treated with a Spylon+ water repellent finish. Some skiers shy away from jackets with detachable hoods because the designs tend to seep along the zipper connections (especially after a few falls), but the Invader features waterproof zippers and seam taping that surpass almost anything available this season.
