General Grant National Memorial - Activities![]() LIVING HISTORY DEMONSTRATIONS/SCHOOL PROGRAMS Is your class studying the Civil War? How would your students enjoy meeting a Union soldier? Or how about an army medical officer with all his instruments? Interested? At no cost, National Park Rangers from General Grant National Memorial will travel to your institution, within the NY/NJ/CT tri-state area, to present these unique demonstrations. Dressed and equipped with authentic reproductions, these programs offer groups a special way to learn American history. All programs are tailored to subject curriculiums and will illustrate lessons learned in the classroom. Programs offered at the Memorial also include a musket firing demonstration.
