Plan to spend at least four hours at the park, though an entire day is more desirable. Visit the National Park Visitor Center and view the vast museum of Civil War relics. While here, see the "Electric Map", our battle orientation program. (There is a fee for this program.) Next, visit the adjacent Cyclorama Center, which has additional museum artifacts and the massive painting of the Battle of Gettysburg, featuring the climax of "Pickett's Charge". Tour the battlefield park on your own with a self guiding tour or with a Licensed Battlefield Guide (fee). During the summer months, there are free ranger led programs and special walks. Click on the "In Depth" to the right for the park's home page and links to park events and for more suggestions on planning your visit.
