Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument - GrassesThe Monument is home to a variety of native grasses such as oatgrass, crested wheatgrass, bulbous bluegrass, Indian ricegrass, and the Great Basin wildrye. Unfortunately, the grass family has a large number of invasive weeds and the non-native and highly invasive cheat grass (Bromus tectorum) is now dominating the once plentiful native grasses. |
