Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor - For Kids

The staff of the Isle a la Cache Museum in Romeoville offers Nature Tales and Trails each Sunday from 11 to noon for kids. The staff also will conduct a variety of interpretive programs geared to children, though these programs are done on a request basis only. Call 815/886-467.

The staff at the Little Red Schoolhouse Nature Center in Willow Springs offers Fun Friday Frolics on several Friday mornings throughout the year. Call 708/839-6897.

Many of the special events throughout the Corridor are children friendly and appeal to younger visitors.
