The house was restored and redecorated under the direction of President Kennedy's mother in the 1960s as a memorial to her son. On exhibit are Kennedy family furnishings, photographs, and significant mementos collected and arranged by Rose Kennedy and reminiscent of the 1917 period.
A visitor information area is located in the house basement where a small exhibit, orientation film, bookstore, and restroom are available. A park brochure is also available and contains a self-guided walking tour of neighborhood sites associated with the Kennedy family's Brookline years: a second home, schools, church, and community shops.
