Joshua Tree National Park - Ranger Programs

10 a.m. and 1 p.m. — Keys Ranch Tour (1½ hours, ½ mile) Purchase tickets ($5 regular and $2.50 for kids and seniors) at the Oasis Visitor Center or, space available, at the ranch gate. To find the ranch, pass the entrance to Hidden Valley Campground, turn left at the Y-intersection, follow the road approximately two miles to the locked gate. Your guide will meet you there (easy).

11 a.m. to 3 p.m. — Joshua Tree National Park (30 minutes) A video tour of some of the most beautiful scenery on earth. Meet at the Oasis Visitor Center.

2 p.m. — Barker Dam Nature Hike (1½ hours, 1 mile on a mostly flat trail with some rock steps) Join a ranger for a discovery hike around the dam. Meet in the parking area at Barker Dam, #4 on the park brochure map.

7 p.m. — Evening Program (1 hour) Park Jeopardy at Cottonwood Campground amphitheater.

7 p.m. — Evening Program (1 hour) Old Josh: Story of a Joshua Tree at Jumbo Rocks Campground amphitheater.

8 a.m. — Birding at Cottonwood Spring (1½ hours, ½ mile) Bring your binoculars and meet at the Cottonwood Spring parking area.
