Lassen Volcanic National Park For Kids

Junior Ranger Program

Kids visiting from late June through August can participate in the Park's Jr. Ranger activities. If you are between the ages of 7 and 12, you can attend special Jr. Ranger programs, complete a Jr. Ranger activity book, and earn a Jr. Ranger certificate. Once you have completed the journal and activities, you can purchase a Jr. Ranger patch. You can also complete a Jr. Firefighter card to earn a free Jr.

Firefighter patch and participate in the Park's fun new Jr. Firefighter program. Lassen Volcanic also offers Chipmunk club activity cards and "golden chipmunk" stickers for children under 7, and the Lassen Volcano Club for older kids(and adults) who want to earn a patch! Chipmunk and Volcano Club cards are available year-round, but require a visit to the park. For our friends in far places, check out Lassen Volcano Club On-line: email us your answers and a ranger will mail you a free membership certificate.
