Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial - For Kids
Lincoln Traveling Trunk available. Developed in cooperation with Abraham Lincoln Birthplace NHS and Lincoln Home NHS, the trunk is available for loan to schools to provide an opportunity for students to explore the life of Abraham Lincoln from his birth in a log cabin, to his pioneer years as a boy, to his election as our 16th president. The trunks contain period clothing, curriculum guides, videos, and numerous other items respresenting Lincoln"s Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois years. A teachers" packet is also available in request. Junior Ranger Program The Junior Ranger Program is designed
to help educate children about the significance of Abraham Lincoln"s life in
southern Indiana. The program consists of viewing the 15 minute park
orientation film, visiting the gravesite of Nancy Hanks Lincoln and the
Cabin Site Memorial and to complete an activity booklet. When these
activities are completed, the participant receives a Junior Ranger
certificate, badge and patch.
