The Audubon Naturalist Society has been conducting water quality workshops within the park since 1999. These workshops serve to educate the public about water quality issues. More specifically the Audubon Naturalist Society Conservation Program concentrates on protecting and restoring local watersheds. Their water quality programs are designed to increase members' awareness of local and regional conservation issues, while providing opportunities for water quality awareness, understanding, and action. In addition, these workshops provide valuable water quality information to our park and help us to monitor the health of our streams.
For more information on their water quality monitoring workshops or if you wish to attend a workshop go to http://www.audubonnaturalist.org/waterqua.htm or call 301-652-9188.
