Mississippi National River and Recreation Area Junior Ranger Program

The Mississippi National River and Recreation Area offers a Junior Ranger program for kids ages 3-15. The goal of the program is to introduce the mighty Mississippi River and its economic, cultural, scenic, recreation, historic, scientific and natural resources, to children. They are the future to preserving the river.

By participating in this FREE program children earn a badge and certificate after completing four activities on and about the river. One way to start is to complete an activity booklet, available at the Mississippi River Visitor Center. Find other activities at www.mississippipassport.org. Many of the activities listed on the website are Junior Ranger activities.
