National Capital Parks-East - Animals

 

National Capital Parks-East contains known extant populations of 18 species of amphibians, 20 species of reptiles, 234 species of birds, 39 species of crustaceans, 8 species of freshwater mussels, 46 species of fish, and 25 species of mammals. Additionally, 537 species of insects and 21 species of other invertebrates have been documented from the parks.
