Navajo National Monument - Accessibility

Home > Navajo > Planning > Accessibility

The Sandal Trail to the Betatakin Overlook is paved; it is too steep for unassisted wheelchairs. The visitor center has automatic doors and is wheelchair-accessible. One site at Sunset View Campground is specially paved for wheelchair access.

The visitor center has two computers with an interactive virtual tour for people with sight and hearing impairments; those who cannot walk to the sites will enjoy this, too, as will people who speak German and Japanese.
