Navajo National Monument - Climate

Home > Navajo > Planning > Climate

Summers are warm to hot, with temperatures in the low 90s. Thunderstorms in July and August bring rain, wind, and flash-flooding in the canyons. Spring and fall can be pleasant, but occasionally blustery, and winter always brings snowstorms and very cold weather.
