Getting Around

The Old Spanish National Historic Trail (NHT)was authorized in December 2002, and does not have any visitor facilities or services available at this time.

The Bureau of Land Management and National Park Service, together with interested partners, started a public planning process in the fall of 2003 to develop a Comprehensive Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement for the NHT. These documents will provide clearly defined directions for resource preservation and visitor use. The planning process is expected to last several years. The Old Spanish Trail Association hosts various activities and events connected to the historic trail. Refer to the association"s website (link in blue, above) for further information.
