Bolan Mountain Lookout Campground

Description: Bolan Mountain Lookout is a 14 ft. x 14 ft. 1953 L4 style cabin with a catwalk located at ground level on top of Bolan Mountain. The Lookout offers a primitive type camping experience. There is no water available at the lookout. Parking is available just below the lookout. There are approximately 35-40 steps to climb before reaching the lookout.

Squaw Lakes Campground

Description: Squaw Lakes Camping is Walk-in ONLY. Vehicles are parked outside the gate area, and all personal belongings must be hiked into the camping area. There is no exceptions to the policy. Open seasonally from May-15 through Sep-15. Advance Reservations must be made via this website. You need to reserve your campsite at least 3-days prior to arrival, otherwise you will be locked out from making an online reservation. If you missed your "reservation-window" you may check availability by calling 541-899-9220. Due to the remote location of Squaw Lakes, CHECK-IN at the campground is currently not available. Prior to crossing the dam and driving up the mountain road, we recommend that you check-in at Hart-Tish Park General Store at Applegate Lake. It's just 3/4 of a mile past the dam on the left hand side. Your check-in will be quick and easy, and also you can get last minute supplies you may have forgotten. Do not proceed to Squaw Lakes without a copy of your reservation confirmation in-hand. Our Camp-host routinely checks each campsite for proper documentation. Failure to provide your confirmation, may result in your departure from the park. Don't ruin your weekend, please have your paperwork in-hand. Please use the new BROWN bear-proof garbage containers for trash. Please use the new TAN bear-proof containers (located near the picnic tables) for FOOD ONLY. Please cleanout the TAN container prior to your departure, so that other campers may use this convenience. Please pack-out any additional trash. Description: The Curly Jack Campground lies at 1,100 feet elevation. It is located in the town of Happy Camp and is adjacent to the Klamath Wild and Scenic River. Visitors can access the Klamath River from the campground. The campground has 4 group sites (sites #4, 8, 9, & 11)and 11 individual sites. Group sites can be reserved between mid May and mid October. Individual sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Packers Cabin Campground

Description: Packers Cabin was originally built around 1930 and served as the headquarters for the Forest Service packer who supplied lookouts and field crews by horse or mule pack trains. Today, however, visitors no longer need to hitch up a team of mules and trek for days to enjoy this three-room cabin nestled in a natural setting on Long Ridge. Dappled sunlight filters through the forests thick canopy and splashes light on a butter-yellow structure that has been recently renovated and is now barrier free. The accessible facility has ramps, decks, wide doorways and door handles to make the cabin as accessible as possible to anyone wishing to take a step back in history and live the life of a forest ranger. .

Description: Snow Camp Fire Lookout is a 15' X 15' cabin-type structure with catwalk at ground level, located on top of Snow Camp Mountain. The combination to this lookout will be included in your confirmation letter. Please call/email the Gold Beach Ranger District office at 541.412.6000 4 days prior to your arrival to confirm your combination. For your convenience, the office is open Monday thru Friday from 8:30 to 4:30 and closed on weekends and holidays.

Valley Of The Rogue Campground

Description: Valley of the Rogue State Park is located along the scenic Rogue River, thus providing excellent opportunities for fishing, rafting, and boat trips. Other recreational opportunities available, range from hiking and site seeing to enjoying an evening program or guided walk, or just relaxing in the beautiful scenery surrounding the park. The central location makes it an ideal spot to stay while taking advantage of features and events in the area. Valley of the Rogue offers 174 sites - 88 full hook-ups, 59 electrical, 21 tents and 6 yurts. Also available, are group tent areas and a group meeting hall. D and E loops are open for your year round camping enjoyment. Note:Reservations can be made 24 hours a day, from 2 days to 9 months in advance. Campsite availability is based on call center hours, meaning sites become available when the call center opens giving no preference to online users versus phone-in customers. Call center hours are: Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. Please be aware that only the person whose name is on the reservation may access, change or cancel the reservation. You can stay 14 consecutive days in a single campground, and may return after spending at least three days out of the park (it can be another state park campground; in fact, we recommend you DO select another state park campground). The maximum time allowed within any Oregon State Park is 14 days within any 17 day period. Discount programs which may be offered through the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (such as, but not limited to, Club Camping, Foster Parent, Disabled Veteran, and Active Military Duty fee exemptions) cannot be processed when making an internet reservation. Fee adjustments will not be made after reservations have been confirmed using the Internet reservation service. The Six Rivers National Forest invites you to experience life at the top of Bear Basin Butte (elevation 5303') through rental of a historic fire lookout and a new 1930's style cabin. The Lookout and Pierson Cabin, rented as a pair, may be reserved for one to four nights between June 1 and September 30, with reservations taken after January 1 for the current year.
