Product Description
Comp XT Petzl Mountaineering Boot - Men's by Asolo
Designed through a collaboration between Asolo and Petzl, the Men's Comp XT Petzl Mountaineering Boot is designed for lightning fast ascents up mixed routes. The Petzl designed D-Lynx crampon is unique in the sense that it can be customized to yield the highest performance depending on the route and climber preference, while Asolo's light and intuitive design gives these boots a fit and feel more akin to a pair of climbing shoes than traditional mountaineering boots. Both the front and rear crampons can be adjusted either forward or backward through three screws that attach the crampon to the sole of the boot, giving both crampons 5mm of adjustability. The front of the crampon can also be adjusted laterally either inwards or outwards between two and five degrees. Once secured to the sole, the crampons remain extremely solid, making the boot stable and responsive. The upper is composed of an inner boot with internal laces that start at the toes and run up to the ankle, providing the precise fit you'd expect from a pair of climbing shoes. The outer gaiter is made with a Schoeller softshell material that's both breathable and weather-resistant, while the waterproof zipper ensures a watertight closure.
