Atlas Elektra Treeline Snowshoe

Mountains and hills decked out in a coat of fresh snow aren't something that you can just let sit there, so strap on the Atlas Elektra Treeline Women's Snowshoe and get exploring. A unique snowshoe that's designed specifically for women, the Elektra has a tapered tail, narrower nose, and bindings that are modeled on women's boot lasts, so it provides a stable platform and comfortable walking motion for adventurous lady snowshoers. Although it's slightly sleeker than the men's Treeline, the Elektra provides just as much support, with a light but sturdy aluminum V-frame design and flexible Nytex decking that keeps you on top of the snow without bogging you down with excess weight. The Light Ride Suspension provides smooth ankle articulation and light cushioning under the balls of your feet, and the heel lift bar makes steep terrain easy to climb without taking a toll on your calves. Atlas also outfitted the Elektra with its Wrapp Lux binding, which features EVA foam padding and one-pull Flowtape silicone straps for a secure fit, and an All-Trac toe crampon and advanced aft traction system to keep you feeling solid on steep ascents and tricky sidehills.

October's Animal
Most commonly found in the tundra of Rocky Mountain National Park, the pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
